Peter, thanks for letting us hear your side.
This is what Peter had to say below:
“A lot has been said about this situation by a lot of people, some factual, but most not… There has not been, nor has there ever been any attempt or intent of fraud, in regards to this tour that was booked by me, Imran “Peter” Passard on behalf of Wendel “Gyptian” Edwards / Jus 1 Productions, but rather a misunderstanding and or miscommunication of details. Contrary to released statements; I have been booking shows for this artist for a number of years, up to and past the stated date of March 2008. Anyone that has booked a show in the United States with Gyptian can attest to this fact. The missed shows in question were only the East Coast part of a Bi-Coastal tour, which were all booked through me. Including the West Coast dates which are now being called legit. The other headlining Artiste on this tour can verify this fact, along with his management.
I have been involved with the fore mentioned singers career from its inception, playing various roles ranging from Booking Agent, to Road Manager, to Manager, & even producing many of his latest hits (“I Can Feel Your Pain”, “Hold Yuh”, etc.)
This is in no way, shape or form a transfer of blame to anyone, as errors were made by all involved. All who know anything about Mr. Edwards and I, know that I am or was like a “Right Arm” to him. They also know that I would not try to scam, hustle or “Fraud Up” the God Father of my own child, someone that I have considered to be like a brother to me.
Arrangements have been made or are in the process of being made with all the affected promoters of the missed/cancelled shows by me personally. Also, I would like to personally apologize to all the fans that were looking forward to the missed/cancelled shows. And for the record, I am still open to speak to Gyptian personally to further settle this matter.”
Bless.
Sincerely Yours,
Imran “Peter” Passard
